Climbing Cat, DIY Scratch Post, climbing frame Video Clips. Duration : 3.13 Mins.
This is her 3rd day with the climbing frame I built her. As you can see she has no trouble scaling the post at 21 weeks old. It really has turned out far better than I originally hoped. The post is much much sturdier than anything I could buy premade. The top level is screwed to the post and Fixed to the wall. The post is also fixed to the base with 4 long screws. I would highly recommend anyone to make one of these and the secret ingredient is the Sisal Rope. The post did not appeal at all to her before it was wrapped in Natural Sisal rope. Items used in making: £5 Wooden post from B&Q, sanding down is all it needed. £15 30m of Sisal rope thickness of 1cm. (used all of it, would of used more its also thicker than what you would usually find on store bought scratch posts which is supposed to be better. got from ebay. Carpet stapled and glued to the solid wood shelves. plus all the fixings.
